Assistant Professor – Developmental Neuropsychology (Tenure Stream)

The Department of Psychology, University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Developmental Neuropsychology. The appointment will begin July 1, 2019.

The successful candidate will have received a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field by the start date of the appointment, or shortly thereafter. The applicant must demonstrate evidence of excellence in both teaching and research in developmental neuropsychology in an area that expands and complements the breadth of our program. Candidates should have a strong research program that demonstrates both theoretical and methodological excellence.

Evidence of excellence in teaching will be demonstrated through teaching accomplishments, strong letters of reference and the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application. Candidates also must have a record of excellence in research as demonstrated by a record of impactful contributions and publications in top-ranked and field relevant academic journals, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades, and strong endorsements by referees of high standing. Applicants who are able to contribute to multiple research areas within Psychology are especially welcomed.

The successful applicant will be expected to develop and maintain an active, innovative, independent, externally funded program of research and to contribute to the education and training of undergraduate students as well as graduate students enrolled in the tri-campus University of Toronto Psychology Graduate Program.  There will be opportunities to collaborate with UTM psychologists in research clusters focused on Behavioural Neuroscience, Developmental Science, Human Communication, and/or Health, Adaptation and Well-being, as well as with researchers on all three campuses of the University of Toronto. Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
